Cividep plays a leading role in efforts to achieve improved childcare services for working parents employed in Bangalore’s garment export industry. Cividep is also collaborating with MSN to share their experiences and their lessons learned with women’s, trade union and labour rights organizations in Central America and other garment-producing regions. In June 2017, Cividep’s general secretary, Gopinath Parakuni, visited El Salvador to meet with MSN’s labour partners and government representatives charged with developing childcare legislation in that country.
